Hi halle,
It really depends on where I’m at with an experiment. Early on, I’m doing a lot of reading, planning, ordering what I need etc. so I’ll often spend whole days in the office. When it’s time to do the experiments, I’ll be in the lab all day (for many days!) and then when it comes time to analyse the data and write up the publication, I’ll be back in the office. But over the course of the whole project, I would approximately spend 40% in the lab doing the experiments and then analysing data, 25% researching and reading and the other 35% writing. I also have to fit in meetings, presentations and working with others.
